The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is aware of the developing concerns about delta-8 THC products being offered online and in stores. It should be noted that the FDA has not investigated or approved these items for safe use in any setting. Variability in product formulations and product labelling, the presence of additional cannabinoids and terpenes, and fluctuating delta-8 THC concentrations are all sources of concern. Also of concern is that some of these items may be branded simply as “hemp products,” which may mislead consumers who associate the term “hemp” with the phrase “non-psychoactive.”

Because delta-8 and delta-9 have similar chemical structures, they may have comparable chemical qualities and effects on the body. In reality, it has been demonstrated that this is the case.

CAN DELTA 8 CAUSE YOU TO FAIL A DRUG EXAMINATION?
